Boo! 10/31/2011
Happy Halloween to all! In honor of this monsterous day I thought I'd post E's birthday invitation from this year. She wanted a monster party and it was so much fun to plan. We started with invites. First up - colors: hot pink (of course), lime, turquoise and orange. Great, fun colors. E had a vision of what she wanted her monsters to look like so we worked together to create these little guys! Added a cute stripe pattern and the result will always be one of my favorites. Her party was a blast! We made monster pillows, danced the monster mash, & played wrap the mummy. For food we had forked eyeballs, monster teeth, & everyone got to decorate their own monster cupcake. We washed it all done with some slime slush punch! Delicious fun for all! 1 Comment Office Update 10/27/2011
My hubby granted me a huge wish last week and agreed that we could paint my office. It has been a really bad peach color since we moved in almost 5 years ago. Since then, it has been too messy to even consider painting. So, finally a deal was struck - if you clean it, we can paint it. Sold! Lucky for me the painting came first, and now the cleaning is a work in progress. :) I knew I wanted to use some version of a lime green, but because the painters were coming the next day, we resorted to picking a color online. We have never done this before so it was quite a big deal for us. We figured anything would have to look better than it did now, so why not! During the painting process, I didn't come in until it was all done. It turned out to be much brighter than I thought it would be, and darker, and... I love it!!! It is bright and cheerful and makes me want to keep it clean! And I'm sharing it with the kids, and it makes them happy too! Here's a pic of my updated workspace. And here is the kids' craft/invite assembly area. The rest of the room is still a huge work in progress so that's all for now! Holiday Cards with a Twist 10/24/2011
It's never too early to start thinking about your holiday cards! Here are some fabulous Envelopments designs to kick-start the process. Each of these designs uses a Twist Card - by far one of my favorite available from Envelopments! Imagine the possibilities... Baby Shower Invitation 10/13/2011
Cute baby shower invitation using pink and black color scheme with a fun scroll pattern for the background and the baby stroller. This invite would work well for a birthday party with maybe a french poodle graphic. |
